I LOVED "In the Heights"!!!!!!!!!!! It definitely deserves all 13 Tony's that it is nominated for. The whole cast is AMAZING!!! Of course I am a little bias because my dad is an investor and my uncle is one of the producers... I still love it though and I can't wait to see it again!!!

I attended a TRU panel discussion on monday night where Passing Stranger producer/pr types were lamenting the difficulty selling the show with such a bad title. You nailed it without even referencing Shakespeare. I wanted to jump up there and slap someone - metaphorically.

It's a fantastic show. And this was a cool little post, too. Thanks for your thoughts.

Great story, Broadway Undercover.

If there's any justice, Tony voters will recognize this groundbreaking musical with several awards.

Raul Esparza rocks.

I just stumbled upon your blog tonight for the first time and spent way more time reading it than I expected to (hence not getting nearly enough of my own writing done). Keep up the good work. I'm eager to read more.

Well, now Raul and Eve have Tony Noms and the play itself has a Best Revival Nom. I HATED this play - it was completely disturbing, BUT the acting was stellar and the whole cast deserves recognition for doing that 8 times a week - apparently nobody even missed a performance which is something to praise as well these days.

Ah, last year they held this during "Deuce" - a perfect match. I was in the theatre that night with my mom and it was so exciting to see so many tennis stars there.

Too true. Esparza and Best were dead sexy, and wonderful to watch. And the ensemble work was outstanding.

Awww, I love Julie Andrews, and I love reading everything I ever can about theater and what goes on behind the scenes. You know, there's a great blog that tells you all about what it's like to be a producer of theater. It's awesome! It's from the guy that produces Altar Boyz, My First Time, and The Awesome 80's Prom. It's called The Producers Perspective, and I love it! You can check it out at www.theproducersperspective.com
